0-2 year olds are welcome to the Forest School Nursery at Stobhillgate First School – Stobhillgate Explorers.
Our days follow the flow of the children alongside the stimulus of the ever-changing environment. We allow the children freedom to explore, play and be themselves, whilst being at one with nature.
We have a permanent camp on the site, with many areas including a fire circle, mud kitchen and yurt where we support children in their play/learning and enable them to be as creative as their imaginations allow.
What will my child be doing?
All learning is play-based and child-led. Time and space are limitless and there is no constraint on how long one child engages in an activity. This makes holistic development easier to achieve than in a classroom. It is particularly important for children to have the freedom to choose and express themselves creatively. If not, their innate talents may be stifled.
Session Pricing
Book for your child to attend Stobhillgate Explorers Forest School for Part-Day sessions from. 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m for £45.
Book for your child to attend Stobhillgate Explorers Forest School for Full-Day sessions with wraparound care from 7.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m for £60.
Our days are led and paced by the children!
We are very relaxed and follow their interests whilst cleverly covering the content of the Early Years Curriculum. We spend our time sharing experiences and talking to the children. We are outside all day and the children must come dressed for the weather.
