We are hosting an Open Day for parents and carers interested in learning more about our nursery provision.
The event will take place on the 5th of March 2025 from 1:30-2:30 pm at Stobhillgate First School.
Our open day is designed to provide a welcoming and informative experience, giving you a chance to learn more about our nursery provision, meet our dedicated team, and see our facilities in action.
During the event, you will have the opportunity to:
- Meet with our headteacher and dedicated staff
- Discover our curriculum and approach to early years education
- Experience the school environment and our facilities
- Meet with like-minded parents and caregivers
- Experience our Forest School activities, where children can participate in a fun and engaging outdoor learning session.

You may have heard the exciting news that here at Stobhillgate First School we are creating a new forest school provision for the children.
We will be working in collaboration with Explorers who are an established ‘Outstanding’ forest school based in Wylam, Northumberland. We will be opening a new 0-2 year old nursery and merging our already excellent nursery to work alongside Explorers to offer a forest school-based nursery and wrap-around care for 2-4 year olds.
In addition to this, we will also be offering holiday clubs for all ages, meaning the school will be open 50 weeks of the year! If you already have a nursery place with us at Stobhillgate, this will not affect you as we are simply opening up to younger children and enhancing what we already do to ensure your child gets the best possible start to their school life.

It is now time for children in Year 4 (First to Middle) to apply for the next phase of school starting in September 2024. The Portal will open 12th September 23 and close at midnight on 31st October 23.
